HI, WE'RE PPACS...

Founded in 1973, Papakura Performing Arts Competition Society is a non-profit organisation.

We hold an annual dance competition at Hawkins Theatre in Papakura, Auckland. For many years our competition ran over Queen's Birthday Weekend in June, however, as of 2023, our dates may vary from year to year.

We offer classes in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical and Musical Theatre for Solos, Duos, Trios and Troupes.

As members of PACANZ, we have the privilege of offering National Young Performer Modern and Tap Nominations (alternating) along with yearly Troupe Award Nominations.

Introduced in 2021, the PPACS Supreme Award offers soloists the opportunity to compete for some serious prize money.

As a small committee, we pride ourselves on holding a fun and friendly, yet well-run competition.

If you have any questions about our competition, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
